1. IMMIGRATION TO CANADA DOES NOT REQUIRE A JOB
There’s no requirement for you to have a job lined up when applying for a job in Canada, but it does make it easier. Express Entry is a points-based system, and a job offer is one of the main factors for granting you points.
A higher score increases your chances of being invited to immigrate to Canada. You get points for your age, education, work experience, and ability to speak English or French, among other things. As a result of this points-based system, 57% of Canadian immigrants become skilled workers or business-class immigrants.
Canada’s immigration numbers remain high, with the vast majority of immigrants arriving as refugees or joining family members already living here. Overall, Canada is the nation that welcomes more immigrants per capita than any other developed country, for a total of approximately 300,000 each year.
2. IF YOU ARE A SKILLED WORKER, THEN YOU CAN FAST TRACK YOUR IMMIGRATION PROCESS
If you want to become a skilled worker in Canada, you need to enroll in Express Entry. The program is designed to process new immigrants within six months or less of applying. You should first determine if you qualify for one of the federal skilled worker programs before filling out an Express Entry profile. If you are, then you can complete your profile and submit the appropriate fee.
Keep in mind that in order to complete your Express Entry application, you will also need to get ready to take a language test. You will also need to have your educational credentials, professional experience, and work history assessed, in addition to taking your Express Entry assessment test.
You will be placed in a pool of Express Entry candidates after you have complied with all the steps set out above. It is imperative to note that being in this pool does not necessarily mean you will be invited to become a permanent resident.
Having a high Express Entry score will give you the highest chance of gaining an invite. You should begin searching for jobs through Canada’s official job matching platform, Job Bank, at this point in your job search process. This will increase your chances of gaining an invitation.
3. A QUARTER OF THE POPULATION OF CANADA IS MADE UP OF FOREIGN-BORNE PEOPLE
It is imperative for you to know that you are not alone as a new immigrant in Canada! A country of immigrants is one of the most significant factors that affect the population of a country. 21.9% of the population of Canada are not native citizens, while 22.3% of the population identify as visible minorities. It is particularly true in urban areas, where the population is higher than in rural areas. There is a very open culture in Canada that welcomes immigrants and celebrates diversity.
In many of the major cities in Canada, there are a high number of immigrants, since they are particularly multicultural and attract a lot of immigrants. Over 50% of the residents of Toronto and Vancouver, for example, identify as visible minorities.
