Watch video: See How Arsenal players react in London Colney training ground after return to training

Mikel Arteta’s side have returned to group training on Friday for the first time since the coronavirus out break.

The Gunners London Colney training ground has been open for a couple of week for first-team players, but they had only been using it for fitness purposes in individual sessions.

But Mikel Arteta’s men were given a taste of life back out on the pitch and in each others company on Friday as Premier League restrictions have been loosened this week.

Gunners head coach Mikel Arteta lead his squad for training session with captain Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang also in high spirit at London Colney on Friday afternoon.

Despite Gunners return to full training, only small groups of players allow at a time to train because of coronavirus pandemic.

Training started with some plyometric exercises, before going straight into ball work as Gunners players begin to shake off some of those cobwebs before the potential Premier League restart.

Mesut Ozil, Shkodran Mustafi, Granit Xhaka, Alexandre Lacazette, Bukayo Saka, Nicolas Pepe and Matteo Guendouzi was also made major part during Gunners training sessions at London Colney.

Despite speculation surrounding the future of skipper Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang during lockdown, the Gabon striker returned to training with a smile ahead of what could be his final bow at the club.

Nicolas Pepe, meanwhile, wasted no time in letting off some steam during training however, showing some quick footwork to slalom through a dribbling exercise, as well as whipping a few tasty free-kicks at goal.
