Takehiro Tomiyasu has been delivered eye-catching display during his first training with his new team-mates at London Colney training based on Thursday.
The Japan international, who comfortable at right-back or in central defence completed a £16million move from Serie A side Bologna to Emirates Stadium on transfer deadline day last week.
And due to international break, the versatile defender on unable to linkup with his new team-mates, but on Thursday Tomiyasu trained alongside his new team-mates for the first time and also held talks with his boss Mikel Arteta after his work permit was approved.
On Thursday morning, the 22-year-old was waiting to have his work permit approved following his move to north London. Without it, the Japan international would not have been able to make his debut against Norwich on Saturday.
With the availabile of the right-back, Mikel Arteta could have plenty options to choose when his side’s face Norwich City at Emirates on Saturday afternoon.
However, Tomiyasu was given the all clear on Thursday afternoon and he is now hoping to be in the squad for this weekend’s clash against Norwich City at Emirates stadium.
