After a number of disappointing display in recent weeks, Saul Niguez has finally appeared to be back to his best form, after showcased series of impressive display in Chelsea victory over Southampton in the fourth round of the Carabao Cup on Tuesday evening at Stamford Bridge.
The 26-year-old midfielder has been struggled to make much of an impact since his move to Stamford Bridge from Atletico Madrid on loan for the season in the summer.
Indeed, Saul has only played in one Premier League game so far this term, when he was hauled off at half-time during the 3-0 win over Aston Villa back in September.
However, the Spanish midfielder appeared to be back to his best form, after showcased series of impressive display in Tuesday’s 5-4 victory over Southampton in the Carabao Cup.
The 26-year-old midfielder delivered sensational display in middle of park, and had several chances in the game to score. He had a header well saved by Fraser Forster in the first half, before striking a great chance wide in the second half. Forster was then on hand to deny the Spaniard once again as his curling effort looked destined for the top corner.
