Martin Odegaard has started proved his worth to his new club after produced energetic intelligent and handsomely display against the Baggies in the Carabao Cup last night.
The 22-year-old playmaker, who completed his return to Arsenal recently on a permanent basis, handed his second Arsenal’s debut in the Carabao Cup against West Bromwich Albion on Wednesday evening.
Odegaard, who slot into his preferred number 10 role, showcased series of magic display against the Baggies before set-up Arsenal’s fourth goal, which was netted by club academy product Bukayo Saka.
One of the moment of magic display of Odegaard at The Hawthorns stadium last night, was when build-up Saka’s goal, the Norwegian star, played a one-two with Saka, before returning the ball to the England international with a fine backheel.
Odegaard will be hoping to keep his place in the side this weekend, as Arsenal return to Premier League action against defending champions Manchester City.
The Gunners have lost their opening two matches in the top-flight, by the same 2-0 scoreline, against Brentford and Chelsea, respectively.
Meanwhile, Man City returned to winning ways last weekend with a thumping victory over Norwich City, coming a week after an opening day defeat to Tottenham Hotspur.
