Chelsea star Jorginho dropped sensational performances in middle of the park for Italy as they beat Belgium 2-1 the Euro 2020 quarters-finals.
Nicolo Barella and Lorenzo Insigne were both scored amazing goal in the first half, with Romelu Lukaku’s penalty only reducing the deficit at the Allianz Arena.
There were a slew of excellent performances from Roberto Mancini’s men, including outstanding defensive display from the almost interminable pairing of Giorgio Chiellini and Leonardo Bonucci.
But don’t sleep on Jorginho and the part he played in a monumental Azzurri victory. The Blues midfielder has had to deal with a lot of criticism in recent years but he was sensational in Munich last night.
The 29-year-old midfielder ensured Italy had complete control of the contest starting from beginning to end, distributing from deep and keeping the Azzurri ticking over all night long.
Jorginho only misplaced one pass during the course of the 90 minutes as he attempted 71 passes in total, with 70 completed – giving him an absurd 99% pass accuracy against the No.1 ranked team in the world.
One of his moment of magic in middle of park was came in the second half of the game, when he produced magnificent piece of skills against former Chelsea player Thorgan Hazard.
