After eye-catching display at Swindon Town six days ago for Arsenal U21, Charlie Patino was once again produced spectacular performances in Arsenal U23 3-1 win over Manchester United last Saturday.

The 17-year-old midfielder, who comparison with Jack Wilshere scored his side’s third goal with a delicately lofted chip over Dean Henderson as Arsenal’s under-23s waltzed past Manchester United 3-1.

Centre-forward Folarin Balogun, who handed some minutes in first-team this season, opened the scoring at Meadow Park for Per Mertesacker’s side before doubling the lead moments before half-time.

Manchester United pulled a goal back in the second-half through Shola Shoretire before Patino stole the limelight by rounding off proceedings with a deft finish past England international Henderson.

The 17-year-old midfielder won possession in United’s half, then burst forward, beating Samuel Mather with some lovely footwork before tricking himself in between Teden Mengi and Phil Jones with some excellent close control.

Patino managed to remain on his feet despite seeming off-balance as he crowned the run off in serious style as lobbed the ball over England international Dean Henderson and into the back of the net.
