Armando Broja has been kick-off his temporary stay at St Mary’s stadium in a fabulous form after marked his Saints debut with two lovely goal and assist on Wednesday evening.

The 19-year-old highly-rated forward, who is omitted from matchday squad for Southampton’s first two Premier League games of the season, finally getting the start against Newport County in the second round of the Carabao Cup last night.

Broja didn’t take too long to make his presence felt, as he scoring the opened goal just less than ten minutes, by capitalized Nathan Redmond’s shot which hit the woodwork.

About fifty minutes later, Broja was again on target, this time thanks to some good movement and then being found by a cute through ball from Mohamed Elyounoussi, who himself had a hat-trick.

The Blues academy product, then set-up assist for his team-mates before replaced by veteran Shane Long as Southampton added a couple more to win 8-0.

The accounts of those lucky enough to watch the game in person agree that Broja had a very good game, showing good pace and constant willingness to run the channels. It was an astute and mature performance by the 19-year-old overall, as one would expect given his success at Vitesse last season.
