Video: Romelu Lukaku Completed His Medical Tests Ahead Of Unveil As New Chelsea Player

Chelsea are on the verge of completing the signing of Romelu Lukaku after the Belgian striker completed his main part of medical test in Milan this morning, according to reports.

The 28-year-old frontman set to join the European champions for a fee of £98million, which will make him the most expensive signing at the club.

Lukaku is expected sign a five-year deal in west London worth in excess of £200,000-a-week.

After a days of negotiations over the fee and structure of the transfer, Marina Granovskaia finally reached a conclusion with Inter Milan on Saturday afternoon in order to bring Romelu Lukaku back to Stamford Bridge.

His medical was set to take place in Belgium, but the paperwork still hadn’t been signed off on Sunday causing a delay in the deal.

However, Italian expert journalist Fabrizio Romano, has confirmed this afternoon that the 28-year-old powerful striker has completed main part of his medical tests in Milan this morning and official announcement is expected in the next couple of days.

Despite the delays in the deal, ‘there is no doubt’ Romelu Lukaku will return to Stamford Bridge this summer. An official announcement is getting closer and closer.

Chelsea could include him in their UEFA Super Cup squad to face Villarreal on Wednesday night in Belfast but must register the 28-year-old in their 26-man squad by 11pm (UK) on Tuesday night.

Otherwise Lukaku will be in place in Thomas Tuchel’s squad for their Premier League opener against Crystal Palace on Saturday at Stamford Bridge.
