Thomas Partey trained for the first times as Arsenal player on Friday following his £45million from Atletico Madrid on deadline day.
The Ghana international was spotted at Gunners’ London Colney training base training with his new team-mates ahead of their mouthwatering encounter with Manchester City on Saturday evening.
Partey, 27, headed straight off on international duty after completing his £45million switch Emirates on deadline day, but arrive in north London club earlier this week where he undertook some light individual sessions at the London Colney training base.
The powerful central midfielder was seen smiling alongside Arsenal defender David Luiz, as they back in training for a couple of day, following the international break.
However, Partey has only been able to start training now and joins fellow new team-mates Alexandre Lacazette, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Nicolas Pepe in teaming up with Mikel Arteta’s squad.
Meanwhile, Mikel Arteta has revealed that the midfielder is fit and ready to play, so we could expected to see him making his debut against Manchester City tomorrow evening – although there no convinced the boss will throw him straight into the starting XI for such a difficult game.
Either way, let’s hope we see Thomas Partey get some minutes under his belt this weekend as Gunners fans are desperate to see him in action.
The powerful central midfielder is going to be a huge player for Arsenal so fingers crossed he make a positive start to life in north London.
