Chelsea new signing Hakim Ziyech and Timo Werner has preparing for their debut this weekend as Frank Lampard’s men trip to south coast to face Brighton at 3:00pm on Saturday.
German forward Werner relinquished the delayed Uefa Champions League campaign with RB Leipzig to join Chelsea last month, in a bid to be in sharp goalscoring form by the start of the new English term.
Hakim Ziyech was able to link up with Chelsea from Ajax after a break given the Dutch season was cancelled at the end of the April.
Both the Blues’ new attacking stars have already spent several weeks training with their new team-mates before 2019-20 campaign come to an end.
However, the Blues have return to Cobham’s training base for preparation of next campaign after two weeks break, with both Ziyech and Werner also appeared at club’s base ahead of their pre-season against Brighton this weekend.
Werner and Ziyech are looked razor-sharp in a training drill, finishing several one-on-ones before linking up and scoring another fine goal.
Other new signing, Ben Chilwell, Malang Sarr and Thiago Silva are unlikely to feature this weekend but Ziyech and Werner, who have shown their quality in training in these past couple of week are expected to make their debut in a Chelsea shirt.
It will be the first time that the Blues take to the pitch since end of the 2019/20 campaign, nearly three weeks ago.
