Head coach Mikel Arteta put his Arsenal squad through their paces at London Colney once again with the Gunners Premier League return a little over a week away.
The 2019/20 Premier League campaign resumes on Wednesday, June 17, with Arsenal face a daunting trip to champions Manchester City after Aston Villa take on Sheffield United.
Mikel Arteta has get his squad back to full fitness, with impressive 6-0 win over Championships side Charlton last weekend as Eddie Nketiah bagging a hat-trick while Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Alexandre Lacazette and Joe Willock all found the net as well.
The Gunners are unlikely to have such an easy ride for their trip to the Etihad stadium next week, but Mikel Arteta will be buoyed by the positive atmosphere within his squad as he attempts to imprint his tactical vision on the team following a chaotic year for the club.
And with the likes of Lucas Torreira and Kieran Tierney back in training, Mikel Arteta has a near fully-fit squad to choose from – and the recent Premier League approval of five substitutes per game from an increased bench of nine means the head coach has plenty of decisions to make between now and next week.
Alexandre Lacazette, who scored in Gunners 6-0 win over Charlton last weekend, appeared in high spirit at London Colney while Ress Nelson also shows commitment during training session on Tuesday morning.
Playmaker Mesut Ozil and skipper Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang were also enjoying the sunshine at London Colney on Tuesday, with players once again involved in contact training as the Premier League’s Project Restart gathers pace.
