Gabriel Martinelli has handed Mikel Arteta’s side huge boost after made return to training ahead Gunners encounter with Crystal Palace.
The 19-year-old sustained an ankle injury problem during warming up ahead of Arsenal’s 2-0 victory over Newcastle United in the FA Cup. He was named in the starting lineup but was replaced by Reiss Nelson due to his injury.
Immediately after the game head coach Mikel Arteta confirmed that the player would undergo a scan of his ankle after which the severity of his injury would be revealed.
It was initially feared that the Brazilian would be out for a significant period of time but results from the scan have indicated that the injury is not serious and that the player will be able to return to full training shortly.
And finally, Gabriel appear at London Colney on Wednesday morning, undertaking individual training with high spirits and is expecting to involved with his team-mates for final preparations ahead of Crystal Palace clash.
