So Impressive: Watch Reiss Nelson brilliant performer in Arsenal vs Molde

There were plenty of eyes on one Arsenal winger going into their clash with Molde following Nicolas Pepe’s red card at the weekend. The Ivorian made a real statement by breaking the deadlock and producing an outstanding performance.

But on the other flank, Reiss Nelson ensured that he was not overshadowed by any means. The 20-year-old got the visitors’ second and he was a big threat all night.

In a lacklustre first-half, it was arguably Nelson who produced the most exciting display for Mikel Arteta’s side. He caused all sorts of problems for the Molde defence.

The talented winger was always positive and forward-thinking, taking most of his touches in and around the opposition penalty area.

The 20-year-old put in one of the his best performances of the season so far on Thursday night, scoring to top off a positive overall performance their Europa League opposition.

Reiss Nelson has not had many opportunities to shine during the current campaign, but the Europa League had given him some kind of platform and he is beginning to use it.

His performances on Thursday evening provide the Gunners fans with the biggest talking point – and perhaps the one aspect of the game that leaves Mikel Arteta with serious food for thought.

With both Bukayo Saka and William doubt for Arsenal next fixture in the Premier League against Wolves and Nicolas Pepe suspended, Reiss Nelson is expected to hand is first start in domestic league on Sunday and is hoping to use the chance to shine again for Mikel Arteta’s men.
