N’Golo Kante and Mateo Kovacic was involved in Friday morning first-team training session, as Thomas Tuchel’s squad put through their paces at club training based ahead of FA Cup final vs Leicester City.
Kante, 30, sustained ankle injury that left him out of Arsenal clash while Mateo Kovacic, who has been produced standout performer in middle of park since arrived of Thomas Tuchel, missed Chelsea’s last nine games with a muscular injury.
However, both are return to full training with rest of Thomas Tuchel’s squad as they prepared for their FA Cup final against Leicester City at Wembley Stadium.
Duo, who are perhaps amongst most important players in Chelsea’s entire squad, regained their fitness at the perfect time as Blues aiming to lift their ninth FA Cup and win first major trophy under Thomas Tuchel, who appointed as Blues head coach towards the end of January.
The Blues seeing of Morecambe, Luton Town and Barnsley to reach the FA Cup quarter-finals before they eased past Premier League whipping boys Sheffield United.
Hakim Ziyech’s 55th-minute strike at Wembley squeezed the Blues past Manchester City in the semi-finals and through to their second consecutive appearance in the big final.
The west London club have reached the FA Cup final nine times since the turn of the 21st century, losing just three of them, including a 2-1 defeat to Arsenal last season.
With both Kante and Mateo Kovacic involved in Blues’ final preparations ahead of Leicester, Thomas Tuchel has drop huge boost concerning their fitness, as he confirmed duo will be in contention to fixtures at Wembley Stadium on Saturday evening.
‘The whole group is available as Kova is with us again,’ said Tuchel.
‘It’s huge because Mateo has everything we need in the midfield: experience, power, can beat players, has physical ability and has played big games in the Premier League.
‘When we missed N’Golo and Mateo, we lacked a lot of quality, energy and experience.
‘Billy did a huge job in huge games but it’s not fair to compare him to these players because they have more experience and are a step ahead in their development.
‘It’s big news that Kova is back because he’s a big guy in the dressing room around important matches.’
The German coach also confirmed that N’Golo Kante will start at national stadium when his side’s take on Leicester City.

‘We took the decision together to leave him out against Arsenal and give him treatment. It was pain management, not a huge injury,’ Tuchel added.
‘It was nothing to be afraid of getting bigger. He trained yesterday and today full, no complaints. He will start tomorrow and hopefully finish the game for us.’
