Chelsea’s heroes Mason Mount and Ben Chilwell was so excited after inspired the London club to defeat FC Porto with a significant 2-0 victory at Ramon Sanchez-Pizjuan Stadium last night.
Mount opened the scoring for the Blues in the 32nd minute of the contest as he took control of Jorginho pass with a terrific turn to outwit Chancel Mbemba.
The England international thereafter unleashed a first-time shot for the bottom left corner which beat the diving goalkeeper.
The Blues doubled their advantage five minutes from time with Ben Chilwell pouncing on a defensive mistake from Jesus Corona.
The left wing-back showed good composure as he rounded the shot-stopper before tapping into an empty net with his weaker right foot.
However, after the matches the goalscoring duo decided to take to social media in order to celebrate their respective debut Champions League goals, and were caught by striker Tammy Abraham, who himself uploaded a video:
Meanwhile, Malang Sarr, who didn’t get on the field against Chelsea last night was spotted quick to offer commiserations to his Porto team-mates before catching up with those at Chelsea after the full-time whistle was blown.
The centre-back, who joined Chelsea last summer on a free transfer after leaving Nice, shipped out to Portugal on a season-loan with FC Porto.
Sarr, who made 22 appearances across all competitions for Portuguese giants, were embraces with Mendy, Chilwell, Abraham, Giroud, and N’Golo Kante, the latter of which he appeared to share a joke with. There was also a chance for Sarr to introduce himself to Tuchel.
There was a fleeting moment between the pair as they shook hands and Sarr will hope to earn a place in Tuchel’s squad when he returns to Stamford Bridge this summer.
