Albert Sambi Lokonga has been excited after maked his debut with eye-catching performances in Arsenal closed doors friendly match 4-1 win over Millwall at London Colney on Saturday afternoon.
The 21-year-old midfielder, who completing his £17million move to Premier League outfit from Anderlecht early this week, came off the bench to made his debut against the Lions club.
Lokonga, who scored three goals with additional of two assists in 33 league games for the Belgian club last season, produced eye-catching performances against Championship side Millwall.
The Belgian U21, who is a defensive midfielder; and also capable of play in a box-to-box role, plays a lot of progressive passes, against the Lions and also contributed in defensive work rate.
However, after the matches, Lokonga took his official social media account to delivered message to Arsenal fans across the continent. The youngest midfielder wrote: ‘First game in the engine ❤️懶 48 in the heart , 23 on the back !’.
Lokonga is expected to showcasing his real potential in Arsenal’s next friendly against Chelsea in the Mind Series on 1 August as Gunners will be able to welcome an almost capacity crowd at the Emirates Stadium for the first time since the coronavirus pandemic struck.
