Chelsea have reportedly submitted their first bid for Bayern Munich midfielder Kia Havertz with talks have been underway between the two clubs over the 21-year-old star.
Havertz, 21, who scored 12 goals and registered six assists in the Bundesliga this season, has been monitoring by Europe’s biggest clubs with including Manchester United and Liverpool.

The reports explains in details that Chelsea want to tie the versatile midfielder down to a five-year contract worth £5m-a-year.
The Blues want snap up the 21-year-old over Real Madrid with reports suggested that the Los Blancos also made their initial approach, putting £72m on the table with a similar length contract but valued at a lower £4.5m-a-year.
Bayern Munich who reportedly interested in signing the attacking midfielder, now focus on City’s Leroy Sane while United, who also been keeping tabs on Havertz, now switch their attention to Borussia Dortmund star Jando Sancho.
Both Real Madrid and Chelsea are attempting to boosted their squads this summer and they see Havertz as a leading player for many years to come.
Los Blancos could undergo a rare trophyless season so the pressure will be on Zinedine Zidane to bolster his ranks.
