Chelsea are reportedly preparing to launch their first offer for Leverkusen star Kai Havertz with boss Frank Lampard keen to adds more creative midfielder to his current squad.
The Blues have already secured the signing of Hakim Ziyech and Timo Werner for a combined £81million this summer but Frank Lampard is looking to bring in more quality player and is earmarked Kai Havertz as a potential option.
And According to reliable journalist and transfer expert, Nicolo Schira, claims that Chelsea are preparing to submit a bid in the region of €70M + add-ons – (roughly £62m + add ons)– to sign the highly-rated 21-year-old forward from Bayer Leverkusen.
The 21-year-old has told Leverkusen chief earlier of last week that he desire to leave BayArena this summer after Rudiger admitted that he would like to see Havertz in a Chelsea shirt next season.
Asked about Chelsea transfer target Havertz, Rudiger told Sky Germany: ‘Kai is talented, when I saw him train with the Germany national team I was like, ‘wow!’
‘I would be lying to you if I said I didn’t want him at Chelsea.’
Havertz enjoyed a brilliant season with Bayer – scoring 17 goals and contributing nine assists in 43 games across all competitions.
Meanwhile, Chelsea are looking to raise funds by selling players like Bakyoko, Emerson Palmieri, and Jorginho.
