Head coach Frank Lampard is hoping to pair Timo Werner alongside Lazio forward Ciro Immobile in his attacking options next season, according to reports.
Werner, 24, expected to unveiled as Chelsea player later this week after the Blues agreed a five-year contract worth £180,000 a week with the Germany star earlier this month after meeting his £53m release clause.
But it appears the Blues aren’t content with just the German, with Immobile now in their sights.
Chelsea have already enjoyed a solid start to the summer transfer window, with Frank Lampard’s side secured the signed of Hakim Ziyech from Ajax with £33million.
But now according to The Calcio Mercato, claims Chelsea are also keen on bringing Immobile to Stamford Bridge as well.
The 30-year-old has been in spectacular form this season, scoring 30 goals in 33 appearances across all competitions this term, with 27 of those have come in Serie A – making him the second-highest goalscorer in Europe’s top five leagues.
The reports explains in details that Chelsea have immobile as an ‘idea’ with Frank Lampard reportedly appreciative of the Lazio forward and what he can bring his side.
It’s also claimed that Michy Batshuayi and Tammy Abraham seem destined to be shown the door. Batshuayi has toiled this season – but Tammy Abraham has done well with 15 goals.
