Chelsea manager Frank Lampard is reportedly interested in make two new signings once the club secure a deal for Kai Havertz.
The Blues have been heavily active in the transfer market during this window, but boss Frank Lampard is still looking to bring in a defensive midfielder and a goalkeeper, as reported by The Telegraph.
Bayer Leverkusen star Kai Havertz has left the Germany national team’s training camp on Friday morning to travel to London and undergo a medical ahead of joining Chelsea.
Frank Lampard wants further arrivals at Stamford Bridge and is targeting Rennes goalkeeper Edouard Mendy, who is valued at £30million by the French side.
In addition, Chelsea want to bring in a defensive midfielder, with West Ham United versatile star Declan Rice their primary target in that regard.
Chelsea’s total spending for this transfer window is set to exceed £200million once they sign Kai Havertz.
Hakim Ziyech and Timo Werner both arrived at the club, while more recently deals have been secured for Ben Chilwell, Thiago Silva and Malang Sarr, who set to join Leverkusen on a season loan deal.
