Report: Arsenal may receive £9.1m boost in next few days for Thomas Partey & Houssem Aouar deals

Arsenal could be about to boost their transfer kitty with the sale of left-back Sead Kolasinac in the coming days, according to reports.

Kolasinac looks unlikely to be a prominent figure under manager Mikel Arteta this season, with Kieran Tierney and Ainsley Maitland-Niles ahead of him in the pecking order for the left-back and left wing-back positions.

West Ham United have reportedly interested in signing the 27-year-old while Serie A side Roma also said to be keen in bring the full-back to Italy.

But according to The German outlet BILD, claims Bayer Leverkusen are now showing a ‘serious’ interest in Gunners star.

It adds the German club want to get a deal done for the 27-year-old before their Bundesliga campaign begins this Sunday away at Wolfsburg.

Arsenal are reportedly to have slapped a £9.1million price tag on Kolasinac’s shoulders, knowing full well his £100,000-a-week weekly wages could prove a problem for some clubs.

The £9.1million would be another injection of much-needed funds into Mikel Arteta’s budget.

The Gunners confirmed on Wednesday the sale of goalkeeper Emiliano Martinez to Aston Villa for a fee of around £20million while they are also in talks to loan Lucas Torreira to Torino, with an obligatory fee of £22million to be paid next summer.

Arsenal have spent £40million so far this summer in bringing in defender Gabriel Magalhaes and making Cedric Soares and Pablo Mari’s move to the Emirates permanent.

Wide winger Willian joined on a free transfer but Mikel Arteta is still keen to bolster his midfield options with both Thomas Partey and Houssem Aouar.

Atletico Madrid defensive midfielder Thomas Partey has been linked with a move for several months, and Lyon star Houssem Aouar has also emerged as a top target.

Thomas Partey has a release clause of £45million in his Atletico contract, whereas Houssem Aouar would be expected to cost around £54million.
