Arsenal have been given the green light to pursuit a loan move for midfielder Philippe Coutinho with Barcelona requesting a fee of just under £9million on a loan deal this summer.
The 27-year-old has been widely tipped to return to the English Premier League after struggling to adapt to life at the Camp Nou.
Coutinho, who joined Barcelona from Liverpool in January 2018 with £142million, struggled to live up that pricetag, despite 21 goals and 11 assists in 76 appearances for the La Liga giants.
Despite impressive loan spent at Bayern for the 2019/20 campaign, with nine goals and eight, the German giants have opted not to activate their £107m purchase clause.
Coutinho, who is currently suffered ankle injury problems his being pursued by several English giants with Arsenal reportedly leading the race ahead of Manchester United and Chelsea.
