According to Italian transfer guru Fabrizio Romano, Arsenal are prepared to launch a bid in order to sign Martin Odegaard from Real Madrid on a permanent deal this summer.

The Gunners are in market to strengthen their squad, with creative midfield options are among the area Mikel Arteta keen to bolster after ended last campaign in a disappointing way as they finished eight place on league standings.

Odegaard enjoyed a decent spell, bagging two goals and assists apiece in 20 outings across all competitions while also adapted well in Mikel Arteta’s team and showed good understanding with the likes of Bukayo Saka and Emile Smith-Rowe, with addressing their lack of creativity from midfield.

So, it did not come as a surprise that Arsenal were keen on re-signing the Norwegian international permanently soon after his loan spell expired.
