Chelsea are received huge boost concerning the situation of N’Golo Kante’s injury problem after the midfielder arrived for international duty with France, despite leaving Saturday’s game with ankle injury problem.
The tireless midfielder has played only first 45 minutes of the game at Anfield, and following the match it was confirmed Kante had picked up an injury.
The Blues boss Thomas Tuchel expanded on the issue in his post-game press conference, saying the injury flared up following a challenge by Liverpool forward Sadio Mane.
‘He is injured, he had to go out,’ Tuchel said. ‘He missed the Arsenal game because of pain in his ankle and a little bit of inflammation
‘[It was] nothing serious because he was back in training and, as you could see, he started today. In winning the ball in this situation, the opponent fell on his ankle, [and] twisted it again.
‘He immediately had the same pain as before the Arsenal game when he missed it. He was lacking the force to accelerate and we had to take him off.’
However, the 30-year-old latest injury problem look likes it not serious as will hope after links up with France for their World Cup qualifiers.
Kante has arrived alongside his team-mates with including Kylian Mbappe, Paul Pogba, and Kurt Zouma, and with appeared at international duty with France, means could available for the Blues next action against Aston Villa on September 11 if not sendback in the international break.
