Striker Alexandre Lacazette has joined Gunners fans who are urging captain Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang to sign a new deal with Arsenal.
Earlier on Monday, reports in France claimed that Aubameyang has received an offer from Arsenal to extend contract, which is due to expire next summer.
The north London club face a key decision in the upcoming summer transfer window as they run the risk of losing the Gabon international on a free next summer if he fails to agree a new deal.
Barcelona, Inter Milan and rivals Chelsea have heavily linked with a move the striker, who has scored 61 goals in 97 appearances since joining the Gunners from Borussia Dortmund in January 2018.
But Lacazette has now lead the calls for his team-mate to commit his future to Mikel Arteta’s side.
In a post from an Arsenal fan account on Instagram which referenced Aubameyang’s contract offer, the caption read: ‘Don’t let us down, @aubameyang97. Sing the ting.’
And Alexandre Lacazette has supported the message by liking the post.
Speaking in March, Mikel Arteta was adamant that he is keen to keep Aubameyang at the club.
‘For me it is very easy,’ said the Arsenal manager.
‘I want to keep him under any circumstances.’
