Chelsea’s pre-season campaign moved away from Cobham today with Thomas Tuchel and his first-team squad jet out to Ireland for a week-long training camp.
The Blues will be based in Dublin until next week before trip to Dean Court to take on Bournemouth at Vitality Stadium next Tuesday.
The trip to Dublin will provide Tuchel and his coaching staff with further opportunity to evaluate the 28 players that started pre-season training last Monday while also having the chance to bond with his squad away from the training pitch.
There are a few star names currently involved with the first-team group, including Edouard Mendy, Christian Pulisic and Hakim Ziyech, a large number of returning loanees, and a couple of academy graduates who are on the road back for long-term injuries.
