(FT) TOT 0-4 ARS: Hennessy McCabe Patten Scored Amazing Goal As Arsenal Defeat Tottenham Hotspur

Arsenal have comfortably see off north London rivals Tottenham Hotspur to record a second successive pre-season friendly match’s win ahead of Women’s Super League campaign.

Earlier of this month, the Gunners vanquished Chelsea 2-1 at Emirates Stadium, thanks to goals from Katie McCabe and academy prospect Freya Jupp. 

After seeing off Women’s Super League holder, Jonas Eidevall’s side’s take short trip to north London to lock horns with Spurs at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium and they back to Emirates with another important victory.

The Gunners made perfect start to the game and found themselves lead in 34 minutes, as Beth Mead played in Anna Patten and the cross from the right was headed home off the underside of the crossbar by Alex Hennessey.

Jonas Eidevall’s side’s unable to extend their tally until towards the end of second-half from the penalty spot. Mead was tripped by Scarlett Williams and Katie McCabe hammered into the roof of the net from 12 yards.

The Gunners stretched their lead in the final minutes as first Anna Rose Patten rifled home off the post after another fine save from Spur shot-stopper Korpela on 89 minutes.

Alex Hennessey, then, tapped home from close range from Evans’ cross in added time.
