(FT) PSV 1-3 ARS: Iwabuchi And Vivianne Scored Amazing Goals As Arsenal Defeat PSV

Arsenal are reach round 2 of this season’s UEFA Women’s Champions League after beating Dutch side PSV in the Round 1 final tie at Sapsan Arena in Moscow on Saturday evening.

The Gunners, who successfully saw-off Kazakhstani opponents FC Okhetpes on Wednesday in their semi-final tie, qualifying to next round of the competition after Jones Eidevall’s side defeat PSV.

Jones Eidevall’s side’s made perfect start to the game and found themselves lead through Vivianne Miedema, who broke the deadlock in the 19th minute.

Mana Iwabuchi, then doubled the Gunners lead in the 38th minutes. The The Japanese international hit a rocket into the far corner of the PSV net as Arsenal go into the break with two lovely goals.

The Dutch club came out stronger for the second-half and they soon found a way back into the match when a long ball found Esmee Brugts and she hooked her shot home from just inside the area.

Mead then saw a shot saved by the feet of Van Veenendaal before Arsenal claimed a third goal when a Miedema shot was blocked by the PSV keeper but Iwabuchi raced in to fire the rebound home.
