Arsenal’s U23s side have beating their local rivals Chelsea in the Premier League 2 this afternoon, thanks goals to Folarin Balogun and Mike Biereth, who scored an hat-rick for the first time in Gunners shirt.
Despite Omar Rekiki seeing red in the opening half, the Gunners youngest side secured an impressive 6-1 win over London rivals Chelsea on Sunday afternoon.
Folarin Balogun put the Gunners ahead through penalty kick after was brought down inside the box, Mika Biereth extend his side’s lead with superb finish.
Several minutes later, Balogun netted his second goal of the game with third for the Gunners before Biereth ended the half-time with 4-0.
The centre-forward, who joined the north London club from Fulham netted his first hat-rick in Arsenal shirt in second half of the game before Lewis Hall scored own goal to make it 6-0.
He then netted Chelsea’s only goal. Meanwhile, Charlie Patino and Tim Akinola were excellent for Kevin Betsy’s side, who sit second position on Premier League 2 table.
