Arsenal Women have continued thier 100-per-cent record in the Women’s Super Ligue this season, after beating another title rival Manchester City with a 5-0 on Sunday evening.
The Gunners made perfect start to the game and found themselves lead inside 10 minutes after Vivianne Miedema took advantage of Alanna Kennedy’s mistake to fire the London club ahead.
Kim Little doubled the Gunners lead inside half an hour with a powerful drive that Karima Benameur could only palm into the top corner.
Katie McCabe, who established himself as queen of assist for the Gunners, scored a spectacular goal by firing high past Benameur to made it 3-0 for Jonas Eidevall’s team after the half-time.
Kim Little scored from spot-kick to made it 4-0 before Leah Williamson scored a stunning header to made it 5-0 in the stoppage time of the game.
Victory over Manchester City, means Jonas Eidevall’s team jumped top of the Women’s Super League after beating defending champions Chelsea on the opening day and then putting four past Reading without reply.
