Arsenal have kick-off their Women’s Super League campaign in perfect ways after defeating defending champions Chelsea at Emirates stadium on Sunday afternoon.
The Gunners made perfect start to the game and found themselves lead inside 14 minute as superstar striker Vivianne Miedema delivered absolutely brilliant finish.
Chelsea, then, equasile in the stoppage time of half-time through Erin Cuthbert, who delivered powerful finish.
However, England international Beth Mead scored two lovely goal in the second half to put Arsenal in the driving seat.
Pernille Harder’s header set up a dramatic ending as Chelsea pushed desperately for an equaliser but Arsenal, helped over the line by the roar of the home fans, held on for a huge victory to kick-start their season.
