(FT) ARS 3-0 SLA: Nikita Parris, Kim Little And Miedema Scored Amazing Goals As Arsenal Defeat Slavia Prague

Arsenal take big step to Women’s Uefa Champions League groups, after comfortable 3-0 win over Slavia Prague at Meadow Park on Tuesday evening.

The Gunners made perfect start to the game and found themselves lead inside 94 seconds, as forward Nikita Parris converted Steph Catley brilliant cross to head powerfully home.

It took until the half-hour mark for Jonas Eidevall’s side to double their tally. Caitlin Foord was fouled by Slavia Prague captain Diana Bartovičová in the area.

Kim Little stepped up to take the resulting spot-kick and she made no mistake in beating Olivie Lukášová from 12 yards.

The celebrations were cathartic for Arsenal supporters who have waited a long time to be back and have gleaned little enjoyment from watching the men’s team flounder in the Premier League.

Dutch international forward Vivianne Miedema was one of three changes to be made by Arsenal head coach Jonas Eidevall just after the hour and she made her mark 10 minutes later when she beat the offside trap and lofted the ball over Olivie Lukášová into the net.

The north London club pushed for a fourth goal in the closing minutes of the match but were made to settle for their three-goal advantage. Eidevall’s side will be very confident of completing the job in Prague next week.
