‘Do You Agree:’ Watch The Ways Aubameyang React To James McArthur’ Foul On Bukayo Saka

Arsenal skipper, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has admitted that he couldn’t believe James McArthur wasn’t sent off for his challenge on Bukayo Saka in Monday night’s 2-2 draw at the Emirates Stadium.

The Eagles star McArthur kicked through the back of Bukayo Saka in the closing stages of the first 45 minutes, with the Englishman failing to return for the second period as he was forced off injured.

The Gunners lead 1-0 throughout the first-half, but strikes from Christian Benteke and Odsonne Edouard looked to have won the game for Palace in the second period, before a late Alexandre Lacazette equaliser earned Arsenal a point.

Responding to a video of the challenge on Twitter after the match, the Gunners captain Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang wrote: ‘How is that not a red? I had not seen it like that from the field.’

Meanwhile, Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta was also fuming with the challenge, and the decision to only give James McArthur a yellow card.

‘I don’t get it [why VAR didn’t look at it],’ he said.

‘For me it’s strange because with what we were explained at the start of the season and what happened it doesn’t make any sense.

On Saka’s injury, he added: ‘I don’t know. See how it evolves.

‘He could not continue and he’s a boy who’s pretty tough and he wants to keep playing and he could not carry on. We have a quick turnaround for the next game so we’ll see how he evolves.’
