Chelsea Next Match Before Villarreal Revealed As Mount Silva James And Jorginho Lead The Selection

Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel has confirmed that side will play a in-house behind closed doors match to gain fitness ahead of the UEFA Super League final against La-liga giants Villarreal.

The Blues have completed their pre-season campaign, ending with a 2-2 draw against London rivals Tottenham in the Mind Series and go into the new season starting with a final against Villarreal.

Speaking to┬áChelsea FC, Tuchel confirmed his plans ahead of Super Cup Shutdown: ‘The guys who played today (against Tottenham) we will keep on training, said the German coach.

‘The guys who’ve been with us since the first day, they are done with two training sessions a day, there will be no more doubles for them. But for the group, like Thiago [Silva], Mason Mount, Jorginho, they will have double sessions, tomorrow, Friday.

‘On Saturday morning we have an in-house game to give them some minutes. Sunday is off for everybody and from Monday we more or less start the preparation for [the Super Cup] Wednesday’.

Mason Mount, Reece James, Ben Chilwell, Thiago Silva, Jorginho, Emerson Palmieri, Cesar Azipilicueta and Andreas Christensen yet to get any minutes for Chelsea this summer, due to just returned to Cobham earlier of this week.

But all them expected to take part in-house match on Saturday morning as Thomas Tuchel and his staff keen working on their side’s to gain fitness before jet off to Belfast to lock horns with Villarreal in the UEFA Super Cup final at Windsor Park on August 11.

The Blues head into the game aiming of continued their momentum run form, after wining their last three and draw one in their pre-season friendlies matches campaign.

Thomas Tuchel’s men started their pre-season campaign with 6-1 victory over Peterborough United, in which Hakim Ziyech netted hat-trick while Armando Broja, Christian Pulisic and Tammy Abraham also on target.

Chelsea, then came from behind to defeat AFC Bournemouth 2-1 at the Vitality Stadium before recorded their third victory with 2-1 win over Arsenal, thank goal from Kai Havertz and substitute Tammy Abraham.

Their only draw was last routine against Tottenham Hotspur with held at Stamford Bridge on Wednesday, despite Hakim Ziyech scored two lovely goal to put Thomas Tuchel’s men ahead in 48 minutes of the game, Luca Moura and Bergwijn selvage a point for the visitor as pair scored amazing goal to ended the matches with draw.
