Arsenal and Mesut Ozil reach contract termination agreement
Mesut Ozil is set to leave Arsenal after agreeing a deal in principle to terminate his current contract, that will expires this summer.
According to The Athletic, Ozil and the north Londoner have finally come to an agreement over terminating his contract, which would have seen him earn £7 million between now and his contract expiring in the summer.
It adds that the 32-year-old, who was not included in the Mikel Arteta’s squad for the Premier League and Uefa Europa League competitions will complete his propose switch to Turkish club Fenerbahce this weekend.
Arsenal tracking Ivan Toney
Arsenal are reportedly monitoring Brentford striker Ivan Toney ahead of summer transfer window as Mikel Arteta’s side keen to strengthen their attacking option.
Toney, 24, has been produced a big impression since joined the Brentford from Peterborough United last season, scoring 16 goals in 26 appearances.

William Gallas sends free agent message
Former Chelsea, Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur defender William Gallas has told the Gunners to sign free agent striker Diego Costa.
The ex-Chelsea and Atletico Madrid striker is currently a free agent after terminated his contract with Spanish capital club towards the end of last month.
In an interview with PlayOJO, Gallas said that his character is something that Arsenal currently lack.
‘He would bring character to the squad,’Gallas said.
‘He just wants to win games. If his team mate doesn’t play well, he will shout at them during the game and sometimes I think this is good.
‘Sometimes, when I’m watching Arsenal, they don’t show any reaction when they concede, and someone like Costa will shout to the guys ‘Wake up!’ which can boost the players.
‘If he comes to Arsenal, he will cause a lot of problems for defenders but it might also mean [Alexandre] Lacazette going on the bench again.’
Arsenal are interested in signing Barcelona goalkeeper Neto this month
Barcelona goalkeeper Neto Murara is reportedly considering leaving the Nou Camp for Arsenal this month.
Neto who signed for Barcelona from Valencia for £23 million in the summer of 2019, is currently second choice at the Nou Camp behind Marc-Andre ter Stegen.
However, according to Mundo Deportivo the 31-year-old Brazilian would only leave Catalonia for north London if he’s in contention to start for the Gunners.
Mikel Arteta’s side are in need of another stopper to deputise for club No 1 Bernd Leno after Emiliano Martinez was sold to Aston Villa last summer, and young Icelandic keeper Runar Alex Runarsson failed to impress in cup competitions this season.
It’s believed a loan deal would suit all parties as it would allow Barcelona to lower their wage bill, whilst allowing the Gunners to strengthen their squad.
The move would also give Neto the opportunity to compete with Leno for the No 1 shirt at the Emirates stadium.
