Arsenal news live: Buendia want Arsenal move, Bandt boost, Tierney to Napoli explain, Ozil latest

Arsenal news and gossip is coming in thick and fast and Sportarena is on hand to bring you all the very latest from Emirates stadium.

Emi Buendia want Arsenal move this month

Arsenal transfer target Emiliano Buendia is “open” to a move to Emirates stadium this month, according to reports.

The 24-year-old Argentine has sparkled for Norwich in the Championship this season, scoring seven goals and contributed six assist in 19 outing.

He’s on Mikel Arteta’s radar as a result, with the Gunners boss looking to bolster his attacking option before the end of the month.

And according to The Football London say the Argentine would be open to a move to the Emirates Stadium.

Norwich, meanwhile, want a £40million fee for their prized asset but Gunners believed they will get their man below the Championship leaders asking price.

Bandt will join Arsenal on loan this month

According to Football.London, Borussia Dortmund playmaker Julian Brandt would be interested in a loan move to Arsenal in the January transfer window.

The German star, who can operate as a left-winger or as an attacking midfielder, is not playing regularly at the moment as he made six starts and eight substitute appearances in Bundesliga and has made two starts and four substitute appearances in the Champions League so far this season.

With the emergence of academy graduate Emile Smith-Rowe, there is an argument to be made that Arsenal do not need another creative player in attack.

However, Smith-Rowe is only 20 years of age and is just starting his career, and he should not be put under too much pressure.

Brandt, who joined Borussia Dortmund from Bayer Leverkusen in the summer 2019 with £22.36million, as reported by The Guardian – is more experienced, and bringing the 24-year-old playmaker on a loan deal until the end of the season may not be a bad idea.

Mesut Ozil confirms Turkey and MLS speculation

Arsenal playmaker Mesut Ozil has confirmed his intention to move to Turkey or the United States.

The 32-year-old, who won World Cup with Germany in 2014, set to depart the Emirates Stadium after being frozen out by Gunners boss Mikel Arteta.

Ozil, who current deal at the club expire this summer, was omitted from Mikel Arteta’s squads for the Premier League and the Europa League at the start of the season.

And in recently days, the 32-year-old has been heavily linked a move away from Emirates with both Fenerbahce and DC United among the club interesting in signing the playmaker.

However, Ozil has hinted that is interesting in move to Turkey or United States as both Fenerbahce and DC United’s have reportedly offered lucrative contract with the German star.

‘I definitely will,’ Ozil said during a Twitter Q&A session after being asked if he will continue playing after leaving Arsenal.

‘There are two countries I want to play football in before I retire: Turkey and USA. If I went to Turkey, I could only go to Fenerbahce.

:I grew up as a Fenerbahce fan as a kid in Germany. Every German-Turkish person supports a Turkish team when they grow up in Germany. And mine was Fenerbahce.

‘Fenerbahce is like Real Madrid in Spain. The biggest club in the country.’

Arsenal’s stance on Kieran Tierney to Napoli explained

Arsenal have no intention of selling defender Kieran Tierney this summer after reports linked the Scottish left-back with a potential summer move to Napoli.

The 23-year-old has established himself as one of favourite defender at the hearts of the Arsenal defence and his solid performances in recent weeks impressive the Gunners fans especially a brilliant solo effort in the 4-0 win over West Brom earlier this month.

Italian club Napoli have previously competed with Arsenal for targets including Gabriel Magalheas and Nicolas Pepe and while sportarena understands the likes of Bernd Leno also chose to sign for the north Londoners instead of the Serie A giant.

A source close to Tierney told sportarena that a potential exit “wouldn’t go down well with the fans” while another close to the club admitted that there is “no chance” of it happening.

Tierney joined Arsenal from Celtic for £25million in the summer 2019 but had his first season disrupted by a shoulder injury. He returned to the team after the coronavirus break and was an important part of the defence which helped Mikel Arteta’s win the FA Cup in August.

Chelsea and Arsenal keen on talented Turkish teenage striker Ali Akman
