Mikel Arteta provides update on whether Partey will start for Arsenal tonight

Mikel Arteta has provided an updates on whether or not Thomas Partey will start for Gunners tonight in Europa League clash against Rapid Vienna.

The powerful central midfielder has only played seven minutes of football for the Gunners since his £45m move from Atletico Madrid, having appeared as a substitute against Manchester City.

However, head coach Mikel Arteta now believes the 27-year-old is ‘ready’ for a start.

The Spaniard say: ‘He has reacted really well. I think he came on and looked strong, looked confident and he added something positive to the team. It was a very short turnaround from him.

‘Since he joined he had a day, a day and a half only in training. He has done a few more training sessions and he looks ready to start.’

Dominik Szoboszlai claim from fans

Arsenal supporters has told Gunners board to revive their interest in sign Dominik Szoboszlai in January transfer window.

The 19-year-old midfielder has been monitoring by the Gunners during summer transfer window but they are switch their attention to both Thomas Partey and Houssem Aouar due to financial issues.

Wonderkids sign contracts

Zane Monlouis and Charlie Patino have signed their first professional contracts with Arsenal, the club has confirmed.

The 17-year-olds are both products of the Hale End Academy, and are now England youth internationals.

Both players have featured consistently for the Arsenal Under-18s this season, and are both technically-gifted players.

The Gunners have congratulated both on their first professional deals as they continue to support them with their development.
