Watch Video: Aubameyang Vows to do his part in keeping Odegaard at the club

Arsenal captain Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has vowed to do his part in convincing Martin Odegaard to remain at the Emirates beyond the end of the season.

The 22-year-old, who brought quality, composure and an ‘incredible’ work-rate to Mikel Arteta’s side, won the hearts of Arsenal fans, after joining the Gunners on a temporary deal in January from Real Madrid.

Odegaard, produced eye-catching performances in Arsenal’s 3-1 win over Olympiacos, in which the Norwegian star scored a long-range effort to get his first goal in Arsenal shirt.

And this was followed just days later by Odegaard notching his first Premier League goal on the grandest of stages, in the North London Derby versus Tottenham, before produced Man-of-the-match display in Arsenal’s dramatic 3-3 draw at West Ham before the international break.

As a result, Mikel Arteta & club chief are eager to extend his time at Emirates stadium beyond this season by making his temporary deal permanent this summer, but it’s going to take some doing with Real Madrid taking a firm stance on the midfielder’s future.

Thankfully, Arsenal have the help of Aubameyang, who says he will do his bit in trying to convince Odegaard stay at Emirates beyond the end of the season.

The Gunners skipper Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, who registered assists with goal in Gabon 3-0 victory DR Congo held a FIFA 21 streaming session on his personal Twitch channel over the weekend.

During the session, ‘Auba’ opened the floor up to questions from those watching on, with one Arsenal fan having made use of the opportunity to question the Gabonese on whether he will be amongst those pushing for his on-loan teammate to remain beyond the summer.

And Aubameyang replied with a simple message, explaining: ‘Definitely I will ask him,’ he told the club’s Twitch channel.
