Chelsea striker Timo Werner was once again impressed in front of goal after netted and set-up assist in Germany’s 6-0 victory over Armenia in the World Cup qualifiers match at the stadium Mercedes-Benz, On Sunday evening.
The 25-year-old forward endured a difficult start to life at Stamford Bridge, as he was unable to produce the sort of goal-scoring figures that he was putting up with RB Leipzig.
Despite missed alot of glorious chance last season, he managed to recorded 12 goals with additional of 15 assists across all competitions for Chelsea.
Potential arrival of Lukaku, means Werner’s playing time on the pitch will be limit, but his performances in recent match for Germany look like the forward is getting his confidence back in front of goal.
After netted in Germany’s 3-0 win over Liechtenstein, Werner was once again set-up assist and recorded another goal for himself in Sunday’s 6-0 win over Armenia.
Werner started with the backheel assist before finally find back of the net. Meanwhile, Jorginho missed a decisive spot-kick in Italy goalless draw against Switzerland.
