Kieran Tierney has committed his future at Emirates stadium, by signed a new long-term contract with the London club, two years after arriving from Celtic.

The left-back, who establish himself as a pivotal player in Mikel Arteta’s squad signed a five-year deal as well as taking a new wage of £110,000-a-week.

Tierney, who swapping Celtic Park for Emirates Stadium, has become a leading figure within the Gunners squad since the arrival of Mikel Arteta.

The 24-year-old defender, who made 62 appearances for the London club, scored three goals with additional of three assists and was has hailed the Gunners fans for replicating the love he received in Scotland after pen a new deal.

Writing on his social media channels, the Scot said: ‘Delighted to announce I’ve signed a new long-term deal with the club.

‘I’d just like to thank you all for your support and messages always. Can’t wait to get started next year.’

He added: ‘It feels amazing, First of all with the manager, who came to me and said ”we want you to extend your deal”.

‘It was amazing for me to hear because I have worked hard since I joined. The club have been brilliant with me so I am more than happy to extend it, I am delighted.

‘The vision of the club and where it wants to go, and the expectation of the club is where I want to be in football, which is at the top.

‘There is no doubt about it, we are not where we want to be right now, but we are going in the right direction.’
