Romelu Lukaku has missed a glorious chance to equasile for Belgium in their rip-roaring Euro 2020 quarter-final clash with Italy at Allianz Arena on Friday evening.

Both parties played out a wonderfully high-tempo content in Munich, in which Italy took two-goal lead through Nicolo Barella and Lorenzo Insigne in the first-half.

But Lukaku, who produced standout performer in front of goal in current Euro 2020 with Belgium, got the Red Devils back into the contest after slotting home from the penalty spot on the stroke of half-time.

With Belgium eager to level against Italy in the second half of the game, Lukaku was handed glorious chance through Kevin De Bruyne, laid it on a plate for him.

But the Inter Milan striker, goal-bound effort, was blocked by the Italy defender Leonardo Spinazzola, who got his body across and blocked Lukaku effort.

Several minutes later, Lukaku had another golden chance to get his side’s level against Roberto Mancini‚Äôs men but the 28-year-old forward failed to converted the brilliant cross.

As a result of that, World Number One were eliminated from the major soccer tournament as Italy progress to the next round.
