Edouard Mendy was seen focus on upcoming campaign as Senegal international showcasing impressive save with one hand during training session at Cobham training base Thursday.
The 29-year-old stopper, who joined the Blues from Rennes last summer, produced brilliant save in several occasions for Chelsea last season, and has cemented his name alongside the likes of Ederson, Martinez, David De Gea and Bernd Leno in term of best stopper in the Premier League.
Mendy, ended up with totals number of 26 clean sheets in just 44 appearances for Chelsea last season and became the first-ever Senegalese goalkeeper and just the second African shot-stopper to win the Champions League or European Cup.
The Senegal international recorded a ninth clean sheet, and conceded three goals in 12 appearances in the Uefa Champions League – and two of those efforts actually made the shortlist for Goal of the Tournament.
Heading into next campaign, Edouard Mendy was seen at Cobham training base on Thursday, working hard on back to full fitness as Thomas Tuchel’s squad look to challenge Manchester City for domestic league in 2021/22 campaign.
Mendy was seen using one hand to made alot of incredible save and the shot-stopper is expected to continued secure Blues defensive unit alongside Cesar Azipilicueta, Thiago Silva, Antonio Rudiger and Andreas Christensen in upcoming campaign.
