Hakim Ziyech was seen making fun of Edouard Mendy at Cobham training base on Tuesday as Thomas Tuchel’s men put through their paces at club training ground.

The Blues duo are among 29 Chelsea players that continued pre-season training session at Cobham on Tuesday as Thomas Tuchel and his staff keen to getting their squad back to full fitness before trip to Ireland for another series of training session.

As Blues squad pay visit to club training based, Mendy and Ziyech was caused share jokes and humorous as both stars, who joined Champions League holder from Rennes and Ajax respectively last summer, showcasing their laughing face.

Ruben Loftus-Cheek, on the other hand, showcasing he ready to force himself back into Thomas Tuchel’s squad by dribble pass three players during Tuesday morning training session at Cobham.

Kepa Arrizabalaga, also impressed while Ross Barkley, who spent last season out on loan at Premier League side Aston Villa, has returned to training at Chelsea at their Cobham base on Tuesday.

It was Barkley’s first training session under Thomas Tuchel as he hopes to impress the German on his return to the club.

The 27-year-old central midfielder had a mixed spell at Aston Villa during his year-loan spell at the West Midlands club.

Barkley put in some great performances at the start of his time at Villa Park, most notably in their stunning 7-1 victory over Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool. 

He then missed some time with a hamstring injury over the Christmas and New Year period and struggled to find his previous form on his return.

Davide Zappacosta, Conor Gallagher and Danny Drinkwater, who were also away from Stamford Bridge last term on temporary moves, also take part during Tuesday morning training session.

Marcos Alonso, Callum Hudson-Odoi, Tammy Abraham and Christian Pulisic all looked sharp, while Edouard Mendy and Kepa Arrizabalaga worked away from the group initially on some ‘keeper specific drills, before joining the rest of the players later in the session.

Chelsea yet to announce any of their pre-season friendly matches in July but Thomas Tuchel’s men will take on their local rivals Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur in early August.
