Bukayo Saka has returned to London Colney for pre-season testing as the Gunners prepare to kick off their Premier League campaign away from home against newly-promoted side Brentford next week.

The 19-year-old versatile winger has been on holiday after playing for England at Euro 2020, where he impressed on the Gareth Southgate’s men run to the final.

Saka suffered heartbreak against Italy in the final at Wembley, though, as his spot-kick was saved by shot-stopper Gianluigi Donnarumma.

The teenager was subsequent subjected to racist abuse online, however he has received support from staff at Arsenal as well as the club supporters across all the continent.

Following the completion of Euro 2020, Saka went on a three-week holiday but he has now returned to the club’s training base at London Colney on Wednesday morning.

Saka, who won club player of the years award for 2020/21 campaign, undergone some pre-season testing and will look to take part in training this week.

The 19-year-old likely to miss Arsenal’s last pre-season friendly match against Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday but is expected to be in selection for their opener Premier League match against Brentford.
