New Arsenal signing Ben White has described Bukayo Saka as a “versatile player” after completing a sensational £50million move to London club on Friday afternoon.

The 23-year-old defender, penning a five-year contract as Mikel Arteta’s third signing of the summer following the earlier arrivals of Nuno Tavares and Albert Sambi Lokonga.

When asked during his first official Arsenal interview which member of Arteta’s squad he was most excited to be training with, White went with the club’s reigning player of the season, admitting he was shocked by just how good Saka already is aged just 19.

‘So I had a bit with Bukayo over the summer,’ White told Arsenal’s official website. ‘I hadn’t seen much of him before then and he really surprised me how talented he is.

‘[I didn’t train against him a lot] but some of the other boys did. He’s so sharp and I was really surprised how good he is.’

White, meanwhile, made appeared at London Colney for the first time and is possiblity for him to make his debut when Arsenal welcome their local rivals Chelsea to Emirates stadium on Sunday afternoon in the Mind Series tournament.

Granit Xhaka, on the other hand, return to London Colney after his propose switch to AS Roma collapsed due to the Serie A side struggled to reach agreement with the London club.
