To Talented! Wacth Edinson Cavani outstanding goal in Man United 6-2 win over AS Roma

Manchester United are thrashed AS Roma 6-2 in their Uefa Europa League semi-final first-leg tie at Old Trafford last night, in which Edinson Cavani scored sensational goal while Bruno Fernandes also produced incredible performances.

The Red Devils made bright start to the game as they took ninth-minute to taken the lead with a well-crafted goal. Pogba’s clever turn and pass to Edinson Cavani resulted in an inviting pass Bruno Fernandes, who expertly chipped past the advancing Lopez.

Six minutes later, though, Roma were awarded a penalty when Pogba slid recklessly into tackle Rick Karsdorp, with the full back’s shot striking the outstretched arm of the Frenchman and Lorenzo Pellegrini drilled home the equaliser from the penalty spot.

It got worse for Manchester United in the 34th minute when their former midfielder Henrikh Mkhitaryan fed Pellegrini in the inside left channel and the Italian’s low cross was turned in by ex-Man City striker Edin Dzeko.

United have restored themselves in second half of the game as they took just minutes to level it against Italian side, who paid the price for three first-half injuries, including to goalkeeper Pau Lopez, which forced them to use all three sub windows before going in 2-1 up at the break.

Edinson Cavani, who set up United’s first goal, netted equasile goal with a fine first-time strike after being slipped in by Bruno Fernandes following a swift break.

The Uruguayan completed the turnaround with a simple tap-in after Roma substitute keeper Antonio Mirante failed to hold on to a low shot from Aaron Wan-Bissaka.

Bruno Fernandes made it 4-2 from the spot after former United defender Chris Smalling had clattered into Cavani and Pogba headed in the fifth from, inevitably, a Fernandes cross.

There was still time for club academy product Mason Greenwood to join in the fun with a confident finish after he was played in by the irrepressible Edinson Cavani.

It wasn’t quite a repeat of Manchester United’s 7-1 win over AS Roma in the Champions League last eight in 2007, but it should give Solskjaer a chance to secure his first silverware as manager.
