Chelsea are book place in FA Cup finals with Leicester City after defeating Manchester City at Wembley Stadium on Saturday evening.

The Blues, who booking their spot in this season’s Uefa Champions League semi-finals, won 1-0 courtesy of Hakim Ziyech’s second-half strike.

Despite City dominating possession, Thomas Tuchel’s men were able to spring quick counter-attacks, in which their earlier opening goal was disallowed due to offside.

Ben Chilwell delivered brilliant counter-attack pass to Timo Werner, who sprints down the left and squares for the Moroccan who slams past Zack Steffen.

The 27-year-old thinks he’s given Chelsea the lead but his goal was disallowed due to Timo Werner was offside in the build-up. Meanwhile the half-time ended goalless draw.

In second-half of the game the Blues caught City as Mount played a lovely ball behind the City defence to put Werner free down the left. Back-up goalkeeper Steffen was sucked towards the ball and the forward smartly passed across for Ziyech to turn into an empty net.

One of the most fascinating encounters in the game was between Fernandinho and Mason Mount. The City midfielder was tasked with eliminating the threat of Blues academy product and he gave him some rough treatment throughout the game.

The Brazilian was lucky not to be penalised when he floored Mount in the 17th minute and then stepped on his face. Ten minutes later Fernandinho launched into a dangerous challenge on Mount which the Blues playmaker just about skipped past.

However, in second-half of the game the Englishman got revenge with a lovely piece of skill. Fernandinho tried to man-handle Mount on the left-hand side.

But he was made to look silly when the Chelsea star put the ball through his legs, evaded his grasp and then drove towards the City goal. The Brazilian had tried to rough him up all game but the Chelsea youngster managed to get his revenge.
