Thomas Partey, David Luiz and Gabriel Martinelli was involved in Friday morning first-team training session in Spain, as Mikel Arteta’s squad put through their paces at Ciudad Deportiva de Paterna ahead of Sunday’s match at Newcastle.
The Gunners players were back out on the grass at Ciudad Deportiva de Paterna in Valencia following their disappointing 2-1 loss to Villarreal in Uefa Europa League semi-final first-leg tie at Estadio de la Cerámica on Thursday evening, with the focus now turning towards Sunday’s Premier League clash with Newcastle United.
Mikel Arteta & co. will be aiming of getting back to winning ways when they lock horns with Newcastle, who ended their last outings against Liverpool with 1-1 draw, in which on-loan Gunners star Joe Willock scored the only goal in stoppage time to salvage the point for his side.
Friday’s training session in Spain wasn’t involved all Gunners players that are available for selection, and majority of players that played in 2-1 loss to Villarreal on Thursday evening, wasn’t involved in Friday morning first-team training session.
Partey and Mari that played entirely 90th minutes against Villarreal on Thursday evening, appeared at training ground but only involved in fitness session.
But David Luiz, Hector Bellerin, Mat Ryan, Folarin Balogun, Reiss Nelson, Gabriel Magalheas, Gabriel Martinelli included Eddie Nketiah participated in Friday’s training session.
