Edouard Mendy has become first goalkeeper to save Sergio Aguero penalty in the Premier League at the Etihad stadium after using one hand to denied a cheeky Panenka-style spot-kick.

After City took the lead through Raheem Sterling, were then handed a huge chance to double their lead from the spot, but Aguero humiliatingly chipped the ball down the middle of the goal – where Mendy was waiting to catch with embarrassing ease.
The forward attempted a cheeky Panenka penalty, which was easily caught by the Chelsea goalkeeper in City’s 2-1 defeat at the Etihad.
After save Aguero’s spot-kick, Mendy has become first goalkeeper to save the Argentina penalty in the Premier League at the Etihad since April 2016 Maarten Stekelenburg for Everton and also his first penalty save in the Premier League for Chelsea.
